
Dr. Le Blanc

Dr. April Le Blanc was born in Los Angeles and graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1986 with a B.S. degree in Biology and a minor degree in studio art.
After graduating from college, Dr. Le Blanc spent time studying depression in low socioeconomic communities. From that experience she has become a champion of the beneficial effects of pet ownership for these communities.
Dr. Le Blanc is a 1992 graduate of the University of California's School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, April worked for the San Franscisco SPCA Animal Hospital for a few years, before turning her focus to Emergency Medicine in 1994.
Away from work, April enjoys volunteering with one of the local Bay Area animal care programs, VETSOS. Her hobbies include art, music (jazz and blues), motorcycles, gardening, and home improvement projects.
Dr. Le Blanc lives in Berkeley with her dog Lilly and two cats, Leo and Scarlet.
