Dr. Nohava

Dr. Erin NohavaDr. Erin Nohava grew up on the Peninsula and kept busy competing locally and internationally in hunter/jumper competition.  She went off to UC Davis to study Animal Science as an undergraduate and then graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.  Upon graduation in 1999 she entered an internship program at the Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego. Rotations there exposed her to many disciplines of small animal and exotics practice.

A native of the Bay Area, Dr. Nohava returned here to practice emergency medicine exclusively.  After working for several years in the South Bay, she decided to take a position at the Contra Costa Veterinary Emergency Center that offered the ability to grow professionally with additional managerial duties.

Being a Tri-Valley resident since 2000, she is thrilled to be a part of bringing comprehensive, quality emergency medicine to our community by joining the clinical team at TVAEC.

Dr. Nohava lives with her husband and son, along with a dog and four cats.  Her horse has retired from the show circuit and is living the good life at pasture.  She enjoys traveling and golfing – although she states that she is a much better traveler than golfer!  In between seeing the world through her son’s eyes, she likes to read, cross-stitch, and quilt.
